Tokina has introduced its new fast full format Zoom Tokina Opera 16-28mm f/2.8. The new Opera series describes Tokina as a premium series for new high-end DSLRs, which will be continuously expanded. In addition to the new Tokina Opera 16-28mm f/2.8 Zoom, the Tokina Opera series also includes the ;)
The Opera 16-28mm f/2.8 Zoom comes with Tokina&s "One-Touch Focus Clutch" mechanism, which allows you to quickly switch between AF and MF mode. Due to the strongly curved front element, screw filters on the Tokina Opera 16-28mm f/2.8 cannot be used. Tokina points out in this context that this has made it possible to achieve particularly low distortion and minimal light fall-off at the edges.  The Tokina Opera 16-28mm f/2.8 weighs 940g. The minimum focusing distance is 28cm and the rather complex optical design consists of 15 elements in 13 groups. ;) Tokina has also released MTF charts for Opera 16-28mm f/2.8, which are as follows.
