HP Dreamcolor Z27x G2 Monitor mit 99% DCI-P3 // NAB 2018

HP&s Dreamcolor monitor series is the "world&s most advanced color-critical display" - including the latest model, the HP Dreamcolor Z27x G2, which is based on good color space support: sRGB/Rec.709 color space is 100% covered, Adobe RGB 99% and professional DCI-P3 color space 99%.

However, the brightness of the 27-inch Quad HD (2,560 × 1,440) 16:9 IPS display seems to be below average at 250 cd/m². Like Eizo&s new ColorEdge CG319X, the new HP Dreamcolor Z27x G2 monitor has an integrated, fold-out colorimeter for color calibration, which can recalibrate the monitor automatically on a regular basis. In contrast to this, however, 10-bit colors are only supported by 8-bit plus FRC (Frame Rate Control). The standard viewing angle is 178° horizontal and vertical, the contrast is 1,500:1.

Two DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0 inputs and a USB-C (DisplayPort 1.2) as well as a USB 3.0 hub are available at interfaces. The monitor can also be managed remotely over the network via Ethernet. To facilitate switching between PCs connected to the display, the HP Dreamcolor Z27x G2 has a built-in KVM switch. The HP Dreamcolor Z27x G2 will be available in the coming weeks for around 2,000 dollars.
