After some Corona hullabaloo, the Hamburg Open will once again take place at its original time in January. According to the organisers, more than 180 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation for 18 and 19 January 2023 in Hamburg.
Originally initiated by Studio Hamburg MCI as a broadcast fair, there is now also a lot of interesting "cine technology" to be found there - and, in our experience so far, in a really remarkably relaxed atmosphere. Of course, word gets around, and that's why the exhibitor space is said to have been increased again compared to last year.
The right side of the central hall will be occupied by the "Hamburg Open Forum" with lectures and a supporting programme. With topics such as remote production, sustainability, cloud, cyber security, metaverse and artificial intelligence, the programme is quite contemporary.
On the left-hand side there is an exhibitor stage where companies can present their own innovations and products. New are the so-called "Masterclasses", in which experts discuss the concrete application of their products in a special seminar area and thus convey first-hand know-how to interested visitors. These master classes are free of charge.
As in previous years, the Hamburg Open 2023 will focus on networking in the literal sense of the word. So you can sit down at any time at the tables in the central networking area to exchange news and industry gossip with colleagues or company representatives. The secret highlight of the fair and the networking area is Wednesday evening.
Here, the fair turns into a big get-together from 18.00 hrs, which once again clearly underlines the family character of the Hamburg Open with a band and delicious catering.
We have always felt very comfortable at the Hamburg Open the last few times and will try to be there again at the beginning of next year. Especially in contrast to an IBC or NAB, the relatively small framework of the Hamburg Open has something special about it, especially as you still have the feeling that many relevant manufacturers are to be found here.
