For those for whom the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 are already too compact to work ergonomically with the cameras, there are different strategies to improve the ergonomics: 1. an additional battery pack (Nikon MB-N10 Multi-Power Battery Pack is still in development) 2. a camera cage (for video users in our eyes the best option) or 3. an additional handle magnification. ![]()
The latter has now been introduced by Honkong-based manufacturer Meike with the MK-Z7G Hand Grip for the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7. It&s a Metllah handle that extends the hand shape of the Nikin Z6/Z7 down to the rear and still allows battery changes when mounted. ![]() In addition, 1/4" threaded holes are available on the underside of the MK-Z7G Hand Grip for tripod mounting as well as an integrated sliding rail. The desire for an enlarged grip on the Nikon Z6/NikonZ7 can be seen in our video practice with the Nikons and if you are looking for a minimalist setup, you might find it here.
