Hardware update for Sony Alpha 7R III and Alpha 7R IV cameras

Sony has given its two full-frame cameras Alpha 7R III and 7R IV a small hardware update - so Sony offers the two models now in a new version, which is marked by a small a at the end, i.e. the a7R III has now the model designation ILCE-7RM3a and the a7R IV now ILCE-7RM4a.

What&s new. According to the product specifications, the LCD panels on the back of the a7R III/IV have been improved and now have a resolution of 2.36 million pixels - a significant increase from the 1.44 million of the original models. The other changes consist of the removal of the Sony logo below the new LCDs on the back, which was still there on the previous model, and the change of the USB interface definition to "SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps (USB 3.2)."
