Vimeo´s video portal has always been aimed more at professional film people -- now the next logical step follows: Paying Vimeo members with a Plus, Pro, Business or Premium account can take part in a newly created job exchange via a simple click. Anyone who indicates in their profile that they are available for hire will automatically be included in a list in which clients can search for suitable video professionals.
From 2D/3D animation to time-lapse specialist -- the catalogue of creative roles includes pretty much everything your heart could desire, but the focus will surely be on camera, direction, editing or animation. You can also filter the probably fast growing card index by the type of project you are looking for and the location. The uploaded videos serve as a practical showreel collection. But the whole thing works the other way round, because clients can also publish a request for which interested creative people then apply.
By the way, Vimeo does not charge any fee or commission for the mediation, but keeps itself completely out of the handling of the orders.
