Again an update of Hitfilm Pro has been released -- Version 13.0 brings in addition to the planar tracker of Mocha (now in v.6.0.3) now also a 3D camera tracker, a quite prominent one: it comes from Foundry and is based on the technology used in Nuke. Thus, camera movements in 3D space can be detected automatically in order to be able to insert virtual image content more appropriately during compositing.
Working with masks is supposed to be easier, since it is now possible to work directly in the timeline; no more comp shots are needed. In addition, several other effects and tools have been added, such as tone coloring for grading, a LUT intensity slider and the high-pass sharpening effect from Imerge Pro. White or black backgrounds can be faded out with a few clicks using a new Remove Stock Background tool.
There will also be improvements in format support (H.264, Cineform, MP4), and files with multiple audio streams and MP3 files with multiple ID3 tags will be correctly interpreted. The list of bugfixes is also quite comprehensive.
The editing and VFX software HitFilm Pro 13 is now available for 497 Euro.
