Atomos has released a paid update for the Shogun CONNECT and Ninja V+ with ATOMOS CONNECT monitor/recorder that supports NDI HX2 transmission. This allows a camera equipped with HDMI or SDI to be used as a mobile NDI source for an additional charge of 99 Euros. The video-over-IP protocol NDI developed by Newtek is a widely used standard for IP workflows.

Atomos Shogun CONNECT
The latest firmware update enables wireless or wired NDI HX2 transmissions up to 1080p60 (with Shogun CONNECT) or 1080p30 (Ninja V+ and ATOMOS CONNECT) while recording in Apple ProRes or Avid DNx.
A camera and microphone can be connected to the Atomos CONNECT series monitor recorder via HDMI or SDI to connect to a local network. Once NDI is enabled for transmission, the video stream is available to any suitable device on the local network subnet. The NDI stream can then be viewed, recorded, or used as a source for OBS or a NewTek TriCaster, and then retransmitted as part of a larger production.
