Sony Alpha 1 C2PA-compliant authenticity informationThe C2PA-compliant digital signature technology mentioned at the beginning can be used to embed authenticity information in the metadata of the recordings, which is retained until publication. This also allows the editing history to be traced. In addition to the usual metadata, the signature developed by Sony also contains 3D depth information, which is recorded in the image sensor and can be used to determine whether the recorded image is an image of an actual 3D object or a photo of an image or video. This additional protection is intended to offer even greater security for the authenticity of the content - after all, this is the aim of the digital signature: to guarantee the authenticity of images at a time when image manipulation by AI or even entire images or videos can be calculated very easily. However, it does not currently sound as if Sony will be joining the Content Credetials System with its signature, i.e. an overall database that can be used to obtain information on various images. Specifically, the Sony solution includes "an image validation site that checks the image even after it has been processed by C2PA-compliant processing software. This service confirms the authenticity of the photo taken with a specific camera and that the object in the photo is 3D. This service will initially be offered to selected news agencies and will be extended to other agencies at a later date." This sounds very much like Sony&s own implementation to us. more infos at bei www.sony.de deutsche Version dieser Seite: Interessante Firmware-Updates für Sony Alpha 1, 7S III und 7 IV |
