Ignace Aleya shows in this After Effects tutorial video, how you can actually turn an autumn landscape into a snowy winter landscape with a little color correction and a few simple filters.
The interesting and - as we think - quite clever effect combination doesn't necessarily stand up to a second, critical glance. Nevertheless, it seems surprisingly plausible as long as one does not a priori suspect any digital intervention. For a few seconds of editing material, something like this can be enough in a low-budget production. And the few clicks in After Effects are always cheaper than traveling to a snowy area to shoot.
But the best thing is of course to see how you can actually conjure up great things on your home PC in post-production with a little bit of brainwax. But for that you have to be able to endure some annoying ads on YouTube.
