After the 150mm T3.0 macro lens and the 11mm T4.3 wide-angle lens, an IRIX cine lens with rather classic values will soon appear. The 45mm T1.5 for full frame is based on a new optical design -- unlike the other two there is no counterpart from the IRIX photo segment -- and comprises 11 elements in 9 groups, including four HFR elements as well as one aspherical and one ED element.
This optic is also designed for video recording up to 8K. The focus range is 180°, hardly any focus breathing should occur. The lenses of the IRIX Cine series have lens rings at the same distance with 0.8 pitch standard gear rings, a front diameter of 95mm, 86mm filter thread and a magnetic connection for the sun visor. The housing is made of a magnesium alloy, the weight is 1.1 kg.
Canon EF-, Sony E-, MFT- and PL-Mount are available as mounts. IRIX unfortunately does not yet quote a price.
