Just a few days ago, the German company Black Forest Labs released their image AI FLUX.1, which has generated a lot of buzz due to its high image quality, speed, and the fact that its source code is freely available. It even runs in optimized versions on personal computers with graphics cards like Nvidia's RTX 3080.
Right at the launch, the homepage of the "Black Forest" Labs already featured the announcement that the next goal was to develop a state-of-the-art text-to-video AI, capable of generating high-resolution videos at great speed - editing was also mentioned.

This FLUX.1 video AI might come sooner than expected, as the empty TV screen on the preview page has now been replaced by a kind of showreel of the new AI, demonstrating the capabilities of the new video model. It's still hard to judge how good the resolution really is, as the preview is quite small, but the clips are certainly already quite high quality.
We are eagerly awaiting the release of the new model - and whether, like the FLUX.1 image AI, there will be another open-source version. Such a version in good quality could significantly accelerate the video AI revolution and offer new possibilities. Here is the full demo video - here is a shortened version on Twitter/X:
