Kessler KillShock Recon: remote controlled damped camera buggy

[14:24 Wed,19.February 2020   by Thomas Richter]

Kessler has introduced a remote-controlled camera car in 1:5 scale, which is equipped with Kessler&s Killshock camera anti-vibration system to absorb unwanted shocks and vibrations. It is interchangeable and can be replaced with a suitable version depending on the weight to be carried. Ideally a camera is mounted on the KillShock Recon together with a gimbal and can be remote controlled separately.

The KillShock mount plate offers various hole patterns for a DJI universal mount (e.g. for the Ronin 2), MoVi Toad in the Hole as well as for numerous other gimbals, most Kessler models, Gold Mount, V-Mount battery plates and other devices via 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 threaded holes.

The KillShock comes standard with a set of 8 medium strength (red) shock modules pre-installed. These can be reduced to 6, 4 or 3 modules as required to match the payload requirements. For optimum tuning according to weight, three versions - light duty (blue), medium duty (red) and heavy duty (black) - of shock modules are available, which can also be combined.

The KillShock Recon uses the chassis of the popular Losi DBXL-E V2 remote control buggy and specializes in tracking and side profile shots from low angles. It reaches a speed of up to 80.5 km/h.

The KillShock Recon comes with a matching remote control and is available in Standard and Pro versions. The Recon Standard gets its power from Lipo 14.8v 4S batteries (not included) and is equipped with a 160A ESC electronic speed controller.

The Recon Pro, on the other hand, uses Ignite Digi TB50 Recon battery plate kit (not included), which was specially developed for Kessler. This option allows KillShock Recon Pro to be powered by two DJI TB50 batteries running in parallel, which provides a much longer runtime than 4S batteries of the standard version. The ESC used here is a 160AMP Dynamite Fuze ESC.

The KillShock Recon Standard costs ,500, the Pro Version ,600 - delivered 7-14 days after ordering.
