This summer, Kinefinity introduced a universal, electronic viewfinder with SDI – now an HDMI version follows for DSLRs and cameras generally lacking the larger interface. The compact Eagle HDMI e-viewfinder features both an input and an output slot (Type-A), thus supporting a loop-out of video signals (Full HD with 23.97-60 fps) to additional monitors.

As in the SDI version, a 0.7″ Micro-OLED 1080p display is used, supporting a 1920 x 1080 resolution with 10-bit processing (the panel itself is 8-bit). The viewfinder image is said to be displayed without delay (zero-delay), and the diopter can be adjusted between -6D and +2D.
While the SDI version is powered via Lemo, this version uses USB-C. Power consumption is 3W; operation is fanless and very quiet.
The Eagle HDMI EVF weighs 348g and is mounted via rosette or quick-lock mount. Exposure aids such as waveform, focus peaking, histogram, false color, and HDMI metadata are available.
The price is regularly 1,199 (currently there is a 10% introductory discount).
