And now that the AI pulse has returned to a healthy level, two previously unheard terms have reached us: Kwai and KLING. Kwai is a Chinese company whose LLM team has introduced a new video AI generation model called KLING, which apparently has a similar generation quality to Sora. The published sample clips certainly look amazing: A second clip from the net shows much more sophisticated examples, but the quality is somewhat inferior to the official ‘cherry picks’ from the first video: According to Kwai, KLING can be used to create 120-second videos with a resolution of 1080p at 30 FPS, which is a new record in terms of length. However, it is unclear how quickly open access to KLING will be available. What is clear, however, is that Kwai is competing with Sora for the current SOTA (State-Of-The-Art) crown.
