 LaCie has just unveiled a new Firewire card that works with the new Firewire 800 standard. We recall that 1349b can switch up to 63 FireWire devices in series, allows cable lengths up to 100m, reaching 800 Mbps and is backward compatible to the old firewire. The card costs $ 89 in the U.S..
