Another macro lens is released by VenusLens. The Laowa 58mm f/2.8 2X Ultra-Macro APO offers a twofold magnification factor and a closest focusing distance of only 18.5cm. So for macro photography, you can get very close to the subject. However, it can also be used like a "normal" focal length, optimized for mirrorless cameras full-frame cameras. An angle of view of 40.9° is captured.  Laowa 58mm f/2.8 2X Ultra-Macro APO Compared to the last released  85mm f/5.6 2x Ultra Macro APO from the same company, the new optics is thus again significantly faster, but also weighs more.
The optical construction consists of 14 elements in 11 groups, including 3 ED elements and 3 HR elements. Color fringes and chromatic aberrations are minimized (apochromatic design). The aperture consists of 13 blades, focusing is manual. The optic weighs 595g with a length of 117mm and a 74mm diameter; the filter diameter is 67mm.
