Light Storm 1200d Pro: New high-performance LED light from Aputure

Aputure has introduced the LS 1200d Pro, the new flagship for its Light Storm series of high-power LED lights. The LS 1200d Pro uses a 5,600K daylight 1,200W COB ("chip on board") LED light head (with a power consumption of 1,440W) to achieve a light output of 83,100 lux at 3 meters along with a 15° narrow Hyper reflector.

The dust and water resistant Aputure LS 1200d Pro romit a CRI value of more than 96 and a TLCI value of more than 98 can be dimmed continuously from 0.1 - 100% and has a standard Bowens-Mount with the help of which suitable light shapers such as softboxes, Egg Crates or Lightdomes can be used - included are three Bowens-Mount Hyper Reflectors with different beam angles (Narrow 15°, Medium 30° and Wide 55°).
As with other models in the Light Storm series, the control unit is separate from the light and connected to the actual light via a 7.5 meter cable. The Aputure 1200d Pro can be controlled manually via the control buttons on the control unit including a small display, via the Bluetooth Mesh Sidus Link app via Bluetooth, LumenradioCRMX, Art-net & sACNvia using an etherCONconnector as well as via a 5-pin DMX512 in/out port. §PI21§:Aputure Light Storm 1200d Pro control unit. Unlike the LS 600d, for example, the new model does not have battery plates for V-Mount and Gold Mount - but power can be sourced for mobile battery operation via two 48V/15A DC inputs for half or full power via an external battery block. Fan volume is controlled using four modes (Smart, Medium, High and Silent) depending on the required power and outdoor temperature. Like other lights from Aputure, the 600d has 8 built-in lighting effects (Paparazzi, Fireworks, Incandescent, Flash, TV, Pulse, Strobe and Explosion) as well as 4 dimming curves (Linear, Exponential, Log, S-Curve).

The price for the LS 1200d Pro has not yet been communicated by Aputure, it is scheduled to hit the market in the first quarter of 2022. Included is a rolling case for the light as well as a carrying case for the three included reflectors.
