LiteGear has introduced a new interesting solution for very large lighting areas for lighting professional film sets: Auroris. Auroris is a further development of LiteGear&s Litetiles and, like the latter, consists of large-area LED cells that are mounted on a flexible surface and can thus be used virtually as a giant softbox that emits a uniform light over a large area. ;) LiteGear Auroris
Using LiteGear&s Spectrum color technology, light can be displayed with a color temperature of 2,000K to 11,000K and a wide range of hues. This color control is distributed among the 24 individual large-format pixels on the Auroris X model and 12 pixels on the Auroris V model. ;) LiteGear Auroris The flexible material of the Auroris light surface has the advantage of being both foldable and quite thin (2.54 cm) and relatively light (compared to a softbox in a rigid housing). This makes it relatively easy to transform an entire ceiling or wall of a film studio or special location into a surface illuminated in any color. The Auroris light surfaces are mounted on scaffolding using straps. Including the matching scaffold with diffuser surface, Auroris is only 30.5 cm high as a large-area softbox. ;) LiteGear Auroris LiteGear offers Auroris in two sizes: one as Auroris X with 3m x 3m version with 24 LED elements (for example for ceiling scaffolds) and in form of Auroris V with 12 LEDs with a dimension of 1.5m x 3m (for example for wall scaffolds). Larger areas can be achieved by combining several Auroris models; for example, 10 Auroris X provide an illuminated area of around 93 square meters. One Auroris X is said to be assembled in 20 minutes by two technicians and can be collapsed to an area of only 0.6 x 0.91 meters (i.e., the size of a single LED module) in less than a minute. ;) LiteGear Auroris folded up An Auroris unit of 12 LED modules is controlled and powered by one (Auroris V) or two (Auroris X) LiteDimmer Spectrum AC600. With local control and new communication protocols, one dimmer can control 12 large format pixels. ;) LiteGear LiteDimmer Spectrum AC600 Specifically designed with an integrated Ethernet switch, expanded memory, and faster processor, the new hardware enables Ethernet-based communication protocols such as Art-Net and sACN, advanced color control, and state-of-the-art software features. ;) LiteGear Auroris in two sizes ;) Multiple LiteGear Auroris X combined An Auroris X system includes one Auroris X luminaire surface, two 7.62m cables, two LiteDimmer Spectrum AC600 and two main power cables. Including power supply and controller, it weighs about 58.1 kg and has a power consumption of 1400 W. ;) LiteGear Auroris LiteGear plans to ship Auroris X starting in May 2022 at a price of ,990 - Auroris V will start shipping in August 2022.
