YouTube has released some new features for its live streaming service. The content of the live chat, which runs alongside the video after the live streaming event, can now also be called up together with the video - the chat is then displayed exactly as it was shown at the time during live videos.
In addition, in the coming weeks, every live streaming video will be automatically subtitled in real time to make it accessible to more people - the error rate and latency should be very low according to industry standards.
Anyone streaming live or uploading a video can now also
add location tags to their video to make other videos available to their viewers that were recorded in the same place. Users can also use the geo-tags in the search to filter videos by their location. However, this feature is only available for streams and videos that are uploaded to a mobile device via YouTube app - not on the desktop. And only with the app the Geo Tags can be edited and removed.
