Codec specialist Mainconcept has announced the Mainconcept Codec Plugin for DaVinci Resolve, which allows the project timeline in DaVinci Resolve Studio to be rendered in the same professional camcorder format in which it was recorded. Supported formats are Sony XAVC, XDCAM, Panasonic P2 AVC Ultra and others. The new MainConcept Codec Plugin allows you to work in the same professional broadcast format throughout the entire production chain from filming, recording, editing and playout. ;) Mainconcept Codec Plugin for DaVinci Resolve
The Mainconcept Codec Plugin also provides native access to the HEVC Main and Main 10 encoding. In addition, compliant AS-11 UK DPP content can be exported directly from the timeline. The capabilities of the MainConcept Codec Plugin in detail - Projects can be rendered to broadcast camcorder formats such as Sony XDCAM, XAVC and Panasonic P2 AVC Ultra and AVC-Intra - It offers generic presets HEVC/H.265 Main and Main 10 in up to 8K, which are widely used in OTT workflows and environments. - It can create compliant AS-11 UK DPP content with ready-to-use SD and HD presets, including metadata handling. - Works on Windows, MacOS and Linux At the moment the Mainconcept Codec Plugin for DaVinci Resolve is only available in a beta program.
