Manfrotto ONE - newly designed tripod for photo and video shoots

For photo and video recordings with mirrorless cameras, the new Manfrotto ONE Hybrid tripod is designed. It is intended to meet the demands of both application areas and thus enable flexible use. A new 500X Fluid video head is also being released to match, allowing for quick switching between portrait and landscape formats.

With the ONE, Manfrotto is introducing, among other things, a new, non-round leg shape that is designed to provide stability for sharp photos and to be very torsion-resistant for smooth video pans. With the XTEND system, all leg segments extend simultaneously during setup. Adjustable leg angles and modular feet ensure stability on any terrain. The feet can also be removed to reveal the spiked feet.
XCHANGE-Mount
With the patented XCHANGE mount, heads or accessories can be quickly and easily exchanged without tools, from photo to video or from camera to light. The center column can be folded down by 90° - Manfrotto calls this the Q90 mechanism - which is practical for photographing documents, for example. Thanks to the modular sliding column system, the lower part can also be removed for ground-level shots. Leveling is done via a spirit level.

Tiltable 500X Fluid Video Head
The new 500X Fluid video head is designed to enable smooth, controlled pans and tilts thanks to an optimized Fluid Drag System. The switchable Counterbalance System (CBS) is optimized for 2.4 kg with a center of gravity of 55 mm. The design of the head enables quick and safe tilting by 90 degrees for social media creatives, vloggers, etc.
500X Fluid-Kopf
The flat 60mm base is fully compatible with Manfrotto's Xchange quick-release system to ensure easy rig changes. With the 501PL sliding plate with side locking mechanism, the camera is securely attached from above in seconds.
Weight, payload and more
While the ONE Hybrid tripod is designed for loads of 15 kg (or 7 kg with the center column folded down), the 500X Fluid video head only supports setups weighing 5 kg. The maximum height of the tripod is 170.5 cm.
The aluminum tripod version weighs 3.4 kg, the carbon version 3 kg. The 500X weighs 1.2 kg.
Price and availability
The Manfrotto ONE Hybrid tripod ("Made in Italy") should be available soon for approx. 450 euros (aluminum) or approx. 650 euros (carbon version). In a kit with the 500X Fluid video head, approx. 629 or 800 euros.
