Numerous tools in the Maxon One product suite, which includes Cinema 4D (now Release 25) and much compositing software such as the Red Giant plugins, have been updated, some with new features, such as Trapcode Suite 17, and some with enhanced compatibility, such as the new multi-frame rendering (MFR) in After Effects.
New in Trapcode Suite 17
.
Trapcode Suite for particle simulations and 3D effects now offers the ability to work with Particular and Form in the same 3D space by integrating form behaviors into Particular. "Dynamic Form" works with Particular's physics simulations, while "Classic Form" maintains the familiar shape interaction.
The release also includes improvements to the swarm simulation, allowing there, for example, the addition of Predator/Prey contact and team relationships, as well as improvements to the system organization features in the designer. Form also includes several quality improvements. All Trapcode tools now support Adobe's multi-frame rendering.
VFX Suite 2
VFX2 Suite now includes Maxon's newly acquired Bang plugin, a fully procedural 3D muzzle flash generator that makes it quick and easy to add muzzle flash to footage. Bang provides full control over the appearance of muzzle flashes, including position, shape, color, decrease and duration.
Wireframe overlays for weapons have been added for accurate positioning and scaling. Heat Blur adds a wave of heat distortion after each shot, Optical Glow has also been added. Compositing is now done entirely in 32-bit linear color space. The user interface has also been improved.
VFX 2 also adds compatibility with Apple's Metal Graphics API for Primatte Keyer for optimal performance on supported systems.
Magic Bullet 15
The Magic Bullet suite gains compatibility and optimization for Macs with Apple processors, as well as support for multi-frame rendering (MFR) in Adobe After Effects. In addition, Cosmo, Mojo, Film, and Renoiser now use Apple's Metal graphics API for optimal GPU performance on the Mac.
