After the 35mm and 50mm fixed focal lengths, the next full-frame cine lens from Meike is now available. The new 85mm T2.1 also offers the maximum speed of T2.1 and also otherwise corresponds to the characteristics of the optics series, which covers an image circle of 45mm and is said to be designed for high resolutions up to 6K/8K.
The minimum focus distance is 85cm, and the focus travel is 330°. The focus and aperture rings are serrated (M0.8), the aperture consists of 11 blades. The filter thread measures 82mm in diameter. The optical construction includes 14 elements in 8 groups, the weight is 1107-1170g, depending on the mount. The Meike cine lenses are available with PL / EF / RF / E or L mount.
The Meike Prime 85mm T2.1 costs 826.78 euros (plus import etc. since sold from China) and should be available immediately. The other focal lengths 16mm, 24mm and at the telige end 105mm and 135mm are still to appear in the series.
