For the Mevo Start Livestreaming Camera there is now a webcam app available (for now only a beta version for Mac, but a Windows version will be released soon). The Mevo Start can be connected to the computer via WLAN or USB and with the help of the Mevo Camera App the new webcam mode is activated. If you want to use your Mevo Start via USB as a webcam, you can even do without the new app, the webcam mode is already working (even under Windows).
The webcam app on the computer then allows you to select the Mevo Start in video conferencing programs like Zoom or Microsoft Teams as video input source. The three digital MEMS microphones of Mevo Start can be used as audio input.

In addition, the free Mevo Camera App for iOS and Android can be used to access various camera settings and functions such as contrast, autocuts, color corrections, audio corrections and sharpness wirelessly via smartphone or tablet and to control the camera remotely. This allows the camera to be zoomed or panned, or a different image section can be selected.
Mevo Start as Webcam in Zoom
The basic functionality of Mevo Start is actually live streaming in FullHD 1080p H.264/HEVC via WLAN to streaming platforms such as Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Twitch, Vimeo, Periscope, Twitter and LinkedIn or via RTMP protocol or NDI into the (local) network - without the need for another device such as a PC. If desired, the live video can also be stored internally on a microSD card parallel to the stream.
