Microsoft Windows Media Player 7 / 8 security hole

A newly discovered vulnerability in Media Player 7.x/8.x makes it possible attackers to execute arbitrary code on a victims machine. The attack takes place via the download of Media Player skins which enables businesses so hidden program files are stored eg in the Autostart folder.
