The new Tilta shoulder rest can be used with different dovetails, which can be extended optimally for the respective setup depending on the length in order to achieve an ideal weight distribution. In order to bring external monitor systems further forward, extra mounts have been incorporated into the hand rests to allow MagicArms to be mounted further forward. When we first tried it out (with a mounted Alexa Mini system), we especially liked the rear shoulder pad (Nato rail mounting), which creates even better support on the shoulder. The central shoulder pad was still attached with Velcro on the pre-series model. Advantage here should be a simple exchange of different pads - disadvantage of the possibly faster decreasing adhesive force - especially when dust / dirt collects on the Velcro material. For our shoulder, the shoulder pad was too flat and too hard - Tilta may still like to create more options here. We quite liked the highly modular design with options for counterweights and the very compact form when folded. After all, you are often on the road with smaller cameras to be more mobile and the rig should be accordingly mobile. Currently, we have not seen any lockpin mounts on the threads of the new Tilta shoulder rig - we hope that these will make it into final production. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: NAB 2022 Interview: Tiltas mobile Schulterstütze für DSLMs bis zu kompakten Cine Cams |
