Nanlite wand - handy full-color light for filmmakers and vloggers

Nanlite presents the "wand," a handy full-color LED light designed specifically for mobile creators. Weighing 420 g, the elongated light can be held and controlled with one hand, making it equally suitable for use in tight spaces and for quick shoots on the go.

As with its other LED lights, Nanlite uses its proprietary Nebula C4 Light Engine here, which combines high light output with precise color rendering using combined white and color light chips. The "wand" light covers a CCT range from 2,700 K to 7,500 K and also offers adjustment options of ±150 in the green/magenta direction to precisely match ambient light or camera settings. In HSI mode, up to 36,000 color values are available, supplemented by 14 customizable lighting effects such as "Storm," "Candle Flicker," and "Police Siren."

Despite its compact dimensions, the wand light achieves a high light output of 14,150 lux at a distance of half a meter (at 5600 K) with the help of focusing lenses on the LEDs. The light beam can be precisely shaped using removable barndoors, while the included diffuser provides soft, evenly diffused light, e.g., for natural portrait shots. All settings can be made directly on the device via a round 1.28" display - including two buttons and a rotary knob. Alternatively, the NANLINK App 2.0 offers wireless control via single or group modes as well as firmware updates.

For mobile operation away from the power outlet, NP-F batteries (with runtimes of around 1–1.5 hours) as well as USB-C power banks or USB-PD chargers can be used – the latter can be mounted on an optional bracket. An internal fan ensures efficient cooling with a noise level of only about 22 dB(A), so that video and sound recordings should not be disturbed. The ergonomic design in mint or midnight blue rounds off the concept and makes the "wand" a multi-tool for filmmakers, vloggers and anyone who wants to switch flexibly and quickly between different lighting situations on the go.
