Nanlux Evoke 600C and Evoke 150C - full-color LED lights with new eight-color technology

Nanlux has introduced two new models for its Evoke series of LED lights, the Evoke 600C and Evoke 150C, both of which utilize the new Nebula C8 Light Engine, which uses eight different colored LEDs for the first time to achieve better color rendering. The Evoke 600C is designed for studio use with its high light output, while the Evoke 150C is aimed more at mobile and compact productions.

New Nebula C8 Color Light Engine with 8 Colors

At the heart of the innovations of both lights is the Nebula C8 Color Light Engine, which is based on an RGBLAC (Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue) system that has been expanded to 8 colors with two additional shades – Deep Red and Indigo. These additional LEDs increase the covered spectral range and specifically close gaps that led to color distortions in previous solutions – especially in the transitions between the primary colors.

The extended spectrum through the new colors is reflected in the exceptionally wide CCT range of the Nebula C8 Light Engine, which ranges from 1,000K to 20,000K and enables the Evoke 600C/150C to cover 79% of the CIE 1931 color space and 92% of the Rec.2020 color space. And the measured values for color rendering with CRI 96, TLCI 97, and TM-30 Rf 96 and Rg 100 also confirm the high color fidelity.

Nanlux Evoke 600C

The

Evoke 600C is a full-color point light source with an output of 20,820 Lux at 3 meters (5600K, 25° reflector) and a power consumption of 600 watts. The light integrates all components – lamp head, control unit, and power supply – into a compact, IP66-certified magnesium alloy housing weighing 7.26 kg. The Nanlux FC600 supports six operating modes: CCT, HSI, RGBW, XY, Gel, and Effect mode, as well as flicker-free dimming in 0.1% steps.

Mounting

Another innovation is the Nanlux-own BE-Mount, which offers electronic contacts for intelligent accessory management. This allows motorized Fresnel attachments to not only be mounted but also directly controlled and calibrated. In addition, compatibility with Bowens-Mount accessories remains. The use of Nanlux-own NL-Mount is also possible via an adapter.

Control

In addition to physical operation via three rotary controls, four buttons, and a 2.4-inch display, the light can be controlled via multiple interfaces: DMX/RDM, Art-Net/sACN, LumenRadio CRMX, and via the NANLINK app (also via NFC pairing). A wired remote control is also available.

Low-Noise Operation

With five fan modes (including "Smart" and "Off"), the Evoke 600C enables quiet operation with an average of 31 dB(A). This is particularly relevant for sound recordings on set, where quiet light sources represent a clear advantage.

With a weight of only 2.65 kg and a size of 209 × 147 × 127 mm, the

Nanlux Evoke 150C is aimed at productions with limited space or high mobility requirements. Despite its compact design, it delivers 22,230 Lux at 1 meter (5600K, 45° reflector) with 150 watts of power consumption. It is also equipped with the new Nebula C8 Light Engine, achieving an equally large coverage of the color spectrum and professional color spaces and color rendering values. Six light modes – including CCT, HSI, RGBW, XY, Gel, and effects – cover typical application scenarios. Dimming is stepless in 0.1% steps.

Five individually selectable fan modes allow adaptation to different noise requirements. In Smart mode, the average noise level is only 24 dB(A) – almost inaudible for sound recordings on set.

Power Supply and Mobility

For flexible use, the Evoke 150C can be powered not only via mains power (AC 100–240 V) but also via V-Mount batteries (DC 14.4–28 V) or USB-PD power supplies. The latter even allows the use of standard power banks with 60 W (min.) power. Mounting a V-Mount battery directly on the Yoke is possible, which greatly simplifies mobile setups.

New FE-Mount Interface and Accessory Compatibility

The FC150C uses the new FE-Mount, which also enables electronic communication with compatible light shapers - including motorized Fresnel attachments or movable yokes - while being backward compatible with the FM-Mount accessory series. At the same time, the light remains compatible with the established FM-Mount accessories. The mechanical connection is made via the PosiTight system, which ensures secure, twist-proof mounting. Three 1/4"-20 threads with anti-twist protection on multiple sides allow direct mounting of accessories such as controllers, safety cables, or adapters. The IP66 certification guarantees operation even under harsh conditions such as rain, dust, or sand.

Control

In addition to physical operation via three rotary controls, four buttons, and a 2.4-inch display, the FC150C can also be controlled via multiple interfaces: wired via DMX/RDM, Art-Net/sACN, and a remote control, as well as wirelessly via LumenRadio CRMX and the NANLINK app (also via NFC pairing).

Both new lights will probably be available from November in this country - the Evoke 150C will cost 1,290 euros and the Evoke 600C in the Trolley Kit 3,090 euros.
