Now it&s official: memory specialist Corsair has introduced 24 GB and 48 GB UDIMM modules, which are offered in the form of DDR5 memory kits with 48 GB (2x 24 GB), 96 GB (2x 48 GB) and even 192 GB (4x 48 GB), thus pushing the previous limit of maximum memory configuration of 128 GB for desktop PCs with four RAM slots significantly higher. This is made possible by the introduction of 24 GB dies, which offer a 50% higher capacity compared to the classic 16 GB dies and provide the basis for the new 24 GB and 48 GB memory modules. This means that desktop PCs can now be equipped with as much memory as previously only workstations and servers with extra RAM slots.
Corsair is targeting the new memory modules in its Vengeance and Vengeance-RGB series at specific application areas with large memory appetites, such as 8K video editing and DRAM-heavy AI and deep learning workloads. These new high capacities also extend the maximum memory for motherboards with only two memory slots, such as Micro ATX and Mini-ITX builds with limited space, but when large capacities are still needed. ![]() Corsair Vengeance RAM The two memory kits with 96 GB (2 x 48 GB) and 48 GB (2 x 24 GB) are now available in versions with and without RGB lighting. They run at 5,600 MT/s and 5,200 MT/s and support Intel&s XMP 3.0 for easy memory overclocking. The 192 GB (4 x 48 GB) 5,200MT/s Vengeance DDR5 kits - also optionally with RGB - will also hit the market in early March 2023. These Quad DIMM kits are also compatible with Intel 13th Gen systems and also support Intel XMP 3.0. This new memory record in desktop PCs is also made possible by Intel&s new 13th-gen Raptor Lake CPUs, which offer native support for up to 192GB of memory on a four-slot Intel 600 or 700 series motherboard. Price and availabilityThe new Corsair Vengance RGB DDR 5 and Vengance RGB memory kits with 48 and 96 GB are already available in the different variants regarding memory capacity, RGB and clock ![]() ![]() Corsair Vengeance RAM The 96 GB kits are available at prices between 417 euros for the Corsair Vengeance black 96GB DIMM kit with DDR5-5200 and up to around 440 euros for the Corsair Vengeance RGB black DIMM kit 96GB DDR5-5600 with CL40-40-40-77. The 192GB memory kit should be available from March 7, 2023 - Corsair hasn&t announced any prices here yet, but they will probably be around twice as high as those of the 96GB kit, i.e. in the range of 830 euros to 880 euros depending on the model. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Speicherrekord: Neue 48 GB Module von Corsair machen Desktop-PCs mit 192 GB RAM möglich |
