New AJA Ki Pro GO firmware 4.0 brings new playback options

AJA Video Systems today released firmware v4.0 for its Ki Pro GO multichannel H.264 recorder, which provides enhanced playback and control features for more flexible deployment. This free update provides support for third-party file playback, as well as a number of new settings enhancements that enable seamless setup and operation in production, post and ProAV environments.

The most important new features per Ki Pro GO v4.0 firmware

- Intuitive playback of .mp4 files from supported third-party applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve
- The ability to set each device to generate 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 B-frames individually on each channel to reduce file size
- New alarm functionality that makes it easy to delete stale alarms after bugs have been fixed
- Updated REST API that enables remote shutdown of devices

AJA Ki Pro GO

AJA&s Ki Pro GO is a portable multi-channel H.264 recorder that provides up to 4 channels of simultaneous HD and SD recording to commercially available USB drives with redundant recording capabilities. H.264 recordings with various recording parameters (up to max 10 bit 4:2:2) can be recorded in parallel on 5 USB ports from up to 4 HDMI or SDI sources.

AJA Ki Pro GO

The Ki Pro GO is both portable and rack-mountable - it also features a built-in web server for remote operation via Ethernet and XLR in/outs that accept all possible signals including +48V phantom power.
