At the Camerimage Film Festival, Cooke will introduce modernized versions of its legendary Varotal zooms adapted for full-frame, as well as a greatly expanded Panchro/i Classic FF line.
The new Varotal 30-95 and 85-215 T2.9 zoom lenses cover full-frame sensors and are matched to the Cooke S7/i series in resolution, color and imaging performance. Bayonet choices include PL and LPL. Like all modern Cooke lenses, the Varotal/i zoom lenses feature /i lens data recording technology and have been optimized to capture the warmth, texture and skin tones that define the "Cooke look."

There are some specs on the new zooms at
Jon Fauer (we couldn't find them on the Cooke website yet) - they weigh 4Kg each with a length of 255mm, and the front diameter is 114mm. The focus travel is 280°.
The Panchro/i Classic FF lineup is expanded to include the 18mm, 21mm, 27mm, 32mm, 35mm, 40mm and 50mm focal lengths, all newly developed specifically for full frame. The 65mm MACRO, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm and 152mm of the standard Panchro/i Classic series were already capable of filling a full-frame image circle, so no optical or mechanical changes were made for these focal lengths.

The optics are designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture, keeping flare, distortion and spherical aberration at bay. A larger number of individually calibrated focus markings are engraved on both sides of the tube, especially at close range. Like the standard Panchro/i Classic fixed focal lengths, the FF lenses are color balanced, color matched and compatible with all Cooke lenses. They also feature /i technology.
The Varotal/i FF zoom lenses and Panchro/i Classic FF lineup are available for pre-order now and will be on display at Camerimage, November 13-20, 2021. Prices are nobly kept quiet - these Cinema lenses are more likely to be rented.
