Rumors are growing that DJI will soon introduce a new small drone. The well-known leakers
OsitaLV,
DealsDrone and
Jasper Ellens have already posted photos of it online - the type designation and identification of the new drone indicate that it is a DJI Mini 3.

DJI Mini 3
As you can already guess from this designation, the new drone is both in terms of price and features below the relatively expensive
Mini 3 Pro introduced in May ( here our
review of the Mini 3 Pro ) and thus fills the gap created between the 2-year-old
Mini 2 and the new Mini 3 Pro.

In terms of appearance, the Mini 3 is largely similar to the Mini 3 Pro. At the moment, we can only speculate about the omitted features based on the leaked photos - for example, DJI has apparently removed the frontal horizontal obstacle sensors (or replaced them with inlets for cooling) and reduced the downward-facing ones from two to one. It&s too early to tell if the camera&s capabilities or smart shooting features have also been trimmed. Judging from the images, the sensor could be identical to the Mini 3 Pro&s 1/1.3" 48 megapixel sensor, but possibly the ability to record at high frame rates such as 4K at 60 fps or FullHD at 120 fps, or the bitrate (150 Mbps on the Mini 3 Pro) has been artificially trimmed.

What is clear is that DJI is targeting the Mini 3 more at entry-level users who don&t want to spend a lot of money, and that the Mini 3 - like the other Mini models - will weigh no more than a maximum of 249 grams..
According to the leakers, the Mini 3 will be unveiled very soon. We can only speculate about the price - it will probably be above that of the Mini Mini 2 (459 euros) and below that of the 829 euro Mini 3 Pro (with RC-N1). In the leaked photos the Mini 3 is shown together with the solo
DJI RC remote control with integrated 5.5" display, which would increase the price significantly compared to the DJI Mini 2 - but probably the new drone will also be offered together with the simple and much cheaper DJI RC-NC1 controller (like the Mini 2), which uses the smartphone as a display.
