Blackmagic has released updates for its ATEM Switchers as well as DeckLink, UltraStudio, and Intensity Capture and Playback cards and boxes. The ATEM 10.2 update brings new features to all ATEM Constellation HD, 4K, and 8K models, as well as SDI models. With the help of the new Desktop Video Version 15.3.1, DeckLink, UltraStudio, and Intensity models receive a range of bug fixes and general stability and performance improvements. ;) Blackmagic UltraStudio Models
New Features for ATEM SwitchersThe ATEM 10.2 software update brings new features to the entire ATEM Constellation range (HD, 4K, and 8K) as well as optimizations for the ATEM control panels. New Features for all ATEM Constellation Models (HD & 4K/8K) - Bus Mapping & Source Substitution: Users can now more flexibly define which source is assigned to which button on the control panel. Sources can be replaced via aliases, which greatly simplifies the organization of complex productions. - Downstream Key (DSK) Tally Override: Allows manual control of tally signals for the downstream keyers. - Disable Timecode: Timecode can now be turned off on all SDI outputs if it causes interference with certain end devices. Exclusively for ATEM HD Models - Colorspace & HDR Override: The ATEM HD models receive additional control options over color space and HDR settings. This allows for manual definition of how the signal is processed if automatic detection does not yield the desired result. ;) Blackmagic ATEM Constellation Models Updates for ATEM Control Panels - The ATEM Advanced Panels and the Camera Control Panel have been specially optimized for use with the massive ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus (the one with 80 inputs). - Additionally, both panels, as well as the compact ATEM Micro Panel, receive general performance and stability improvements. New Features for DeckLink, UltraStudio, and IntensityThe Desktop Video 15.3.1 update is purely a stability and maintenance update for the DeckLink, UltraStudio, and Intensity Capture and Playback cards and boxes. It fixes critical bugs in live operation and ensures compatibility with the latest software versions from Adobe, Avid, and Blackmagic. The update applies to the following models - All common DeckLink cards (Duo, Quad, Mini Recorder/Monitor, 8K Pro, IP models). - UltraStudio Recorder/Monitor 3G, HD Mini, and the 4K Mini/Extreme models. - Intensity Model Pro 4K. - ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2. ;) Blackmagic UltraStudio Key Bug Fixes in Desktop Video 15.3.1 - Fixed an issue where video capturing would suddenly stop after some time. - Prevents applications from crashing when only single video frames are played back. - Fixes a driver freeze when a Thunderbolt device (UltraStudio) is accidentally disconnected during recording. - Audio fix for DeckLink Duo 2: Resolves issues with audio embedding that led to incompatibilities. The update optimizes the cooperation of the capture hardware with the latest versions of professional editing, compositing, and audio programs such as DaVinci Resolve / Fusion versions 19 and 20, Adobe CC 2024 & 2025: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Character Animator, as well as Avid & Autodesk Media Composer, Pro Tools, and Flame (version 2025 respectively). Blackmagic recommends that if the editing software (such as Premiere or Resolve) was installed after the Blackmagic drivers, the drivers should first be uninstalled and then reinstalled before updating.
