To coincide with the release of the Panasonic GH6, Venus Optics is launching a Laowa series of MFT cine lenses. The already available 7.5mm T2.1 is joined by four additional manual fixed focal lengths, including a macro lens. All are equipped with 0.8 mod ring gears, and the aperture is de-clicked. An image circle of 21.6mm is covered.
Laowa 6mm T2.1 Zero-D MFT Cine
According to the manufacturer, the 
Laowa 6mm T2.1 Zero-D MFT Cine is currently the widest-angle, rectilinear imaging MFT optic. It offers an angle of view of 121.9° and is said to distort the image only slightly despite the extreme wide angle. The optical design comprises 13 elements in 3 groups, including two aspherical lenses. The closest focusing distance is 9cm, the aperture consists of 7 blades. The lens weighs 180g and measures 61 x 53mm (diameter x length). The filter thread measures 58mm. Price: 699 dollars.
Laowa 10mm T2.1 Zero-D MFT Cine
The Laowa 10mm T2.1 Zero-D MFT Cine is a photo lens in cine guise. With its weight of 150g and dimensions Φ56 x 47mm, it is the smallest of the new introductions. It consists of 11 elements in 7 groups, including 2 ED and 2 aspherical lenses. This optic is also said to provide imaging with "Close to Zero-D(istorsion). The angle of view is 96°. The closest focusing distance is 12cm, and the aperture consists of only 5 blades. Filter diameter 49mm. Price: .
Laowa 17mm T1.9 MFT Cine
Slightly faster than the other lenses in the lineup is the Laowa 17mm T1.9 MFT Cine. Here, the angle of view is 65°, and the closest focusing distance is 15cm. The optical construction consists of 9 elements in 7 groups, including an ED lens. The aperture consists of 7 blades. Weight 175g, dimensions Φ56 x 53mm, filter 49mm. Price: .
A 2x magnification is offered by the Laowa 50mm T2.9 Macro APO MFT Cine. It is slightly larger with a length of 83mm and a diameter of 58mm and weighs 289g. The optical construction includes 14 elements in 10 groups, including 3 ED lenses. The minimum focusing distance is 13.5cm. The aperture again consists of 7 blades. Filter thread 49mm. Price: .
