Igor Bogdanov has shared both new images and information about the next generation of DJI&s (semi-)professional three-axis Ronin gimbal series. Initial images show the RS5 Gimbal

According to Bogdanov, the RS5 Gimbal has the same payload as the predecessor model at 3 kg, which should be sufficient for common mirrorless cameras including lenses. The innovations include improved intelligent tracking with image composition, meaning the tracked subject is placed aesthetically meaningfully in the frame—a functionality first enabled by the Intelligent Tracking Module introduced in February 2025 for the RS 4 Mini (but usable with the RS4/RS 4 Pro via adapter). This module appears to be included with the RS5 now, as seen in one of the leaked images.

Longer Runtime and Twice as Fast Charging
Furthermore, the runtime is said to be increased by 15% thanks to the new BG33 grip with a higher-capacity battery, resulting in approximately 14 hours, and full charging will take only one hour instead of 2.5 hours for the RS4.

Bogdanov also mentioned there will be a new Z-axis indicator to assist with balancing the gimbal. New fine-tuning knobs on each axis are also visible in the pictures.
Anyone who wants to know if their camera will work optimally with the new RS5 can check the RS4 compatibility list, as the RS5 will support these models (at least).

Price and Release Date
Thanks to another source, there is even information on the price of the RS 5—it is expected to cost 838 Australian dollars (approximately 474 Euros), and the Combo Bundle (likely again including an additional focus control and transport case) will be 998 AU dollars (around 564 Euros). Based on experience, when the new Ronin is already listed by retailers and official product images are available, the market launch will not be far off.
