Litepanels has introduced a new 1x1 panel in its Gemini range, which is known to use RGBWW LEDs exclusively. The new Gemini 1x1 Hard RGBWW LED panel is expected to be the new brightness reference in 1x1 LED panels with an output of over 3,000 lux at 3m (at 5,600K). According to Litepanels, the output is approx. 20% above a 200W HMI.
This high lux value is achieved, among other things, by combining RGBWW LED panel technology with LED lenses that produce a 46° beam angle. Compared to the already known Soft Gemini 1x1 version (95° beam angle), the more directed light is significantly brighter, but should still produce a softer shadow than corresponding single-source lights (due to the larger light surface). With the associated domed diffuser, beam angles of 100° and larger are also possible.
In practice, it will be exciting to see how the new Litepanels Gemini 1x1 Hard RGBWW LED panel performs, for example, on set when "shooting" through larger standard diffusion frames...
For those who need even more output, the Gemini 1x1 Hard RGBWW LED Panels can also be connected together in dual or quad arrays - Litepanels also provides corresponding brackets including battery mounts as an option. In a quad array, for example, a maximum of 12,000 lux can be generated at a distance of 3m, which should work for 2 hours with 8x Dionic 26V 240Wh batteries.
The CRI and TLCI ratings of Litepanels are 98. The power consumption is 200W. With a Dionic 150Wh battery, Litepanels foresees approx. 40 minutes of non-stop operation at 100% output - at 50% output correspondingly 80 minutes.
The Gemini 1x1 Hard RGBWW LED panel weighs 6 kg, offers 11 built-in effects, 300 gels and can also be controlled remotely via DMX, RDM, Apollo CRMX, WDMX and Bluetooth. All Litepanels Gemini 1x1 accessories include, as usual, various diffusers, barndoors, softboxes, grids, etc.
