The have long awaited update for Mac Pro and iMac have just been announced by Apple. The biggest surprise is presumably the small change compared to previous models. At the design or basic structure has neither the iMac nor the Mac Pro more done. Only the SD card slot is now SDXC capable. The biggest jump make the graphics options is: So now for all models now significantly more potent ATI 5xxx series available. Nvidia seems to be completely fallen out of favor with the new models. Even the Mac Pro Nvidia seems not even as a build-to-order option to be available. The installed processors have now been completely converted to Intel's Core (i3, i5 and i7) architecture. In the Mac Pro is in the basic configuration also continue to be supplied with either one or two quad processors. Six-and twelve-core versions are only available as expensive BTO option. Just as additional boot SSDs, which are also offered to washed extras. Unfortunately, still no USB 3.0 or Blu-ray available. Oh yes, for $ 999, there is also a new 27-inch Cinema display, which are very similar to the iMac display to appear. And with the new trackpad Magic (69 €) you can put next to his keyboard and a multi-touch trackpad on the desk. And last but not least, Apple has also its own rechargeable battery charger for standard AA NiMH rechargeable batteries announced (??). Well, just the latter is likely, many developers have committed capacity that Mac news just needed something to turn out small;) Comparing the Mac prices with the previous model so were the new Macs for almost across the board a little more expensive. Of course, you get this now more graphics performance, but months, prices of PC components in the corresponding last might like similarly.
