When the comprehensive firmware update 3.0 for the Nikon Z 8 was released about two weeks ago, problems suddenly arose with lenses from some third-party manufacturers. As a result, Nikon officially advised against performing this firmware update if lenses other than NIKKOR lenses with a Z-mount connection or other connection adapters than FTZ II/FTZ are connected, as this could lead to camera malfunctions.
