New RC 2 Pro Controller for DJI Mavic 4 Pro - what are the upgrades?

Seit den letzten Leaks zur DJI Mavic 4 Pro sind dank des Leakers Igor Bogdanov wieder neue Bilder aufgetaucht, von der Mavic, aber vor allem vom dazugehörigen neuen RC 2 Pro Controller.

Der neue DJI RC 2 Pro Controller
Ein Update von DJIs Profi-Fernsteuerung RC Pro ist schon lange überfällig, lässt der bereits 2021 auf den Markt gekommene und mit rund 1.000 Euro recht teure Controller doch einiges an Funktionen vermissen. So unterstützt er nur DJIs veraltetes Videoübertragungssystem O3 und nicht die neuere, leistungsfähigere Version 4 und sein 5.5" Display ist etwas klein und könnte für die Nutzung draussen noch heller als bisher (1.000 nits) sein. Verbesserungsfähig wäre auch die Laufzeit von nur 3 Stunden.
DJI RC Pro 2 Controller zusammengeklappt
Die technischen Daten des RC 2 Pro sind noch nicht bekannt, aber einige Neuerungen sind gut sichtbar, wie das klappbare, größere 7"-Display. Runtergeklappt bedeckt das Display den Controller, hochgeklappt steht es vertikal - und ist so vermutlich ergonomisch besser abzulesen als bisher. Neu ist auch ein Drehregler, mit dessen Hilfe eventuell Kameraparameter wie Zoom, Fokus, Blende oder die Gimbal-Neigung präziser als bisher gesteuert werden könnten. Zudem sieht man auf den Fotos einen großen HDMI-Port an der Vorderseite (die RC Pro hatte nur einen Mini-HDMI-Ausgang).

In weiteren Bildern sind auch schon die verschiedenen Combos der DJI Mavic 4 Pro zu sehen und auch deren (US-) Preise sind schon bekannt. So wird die DJI Mavic 4 Pro (mit DJI RC2 Controller und einem Akku) 2.250 Dollar kosten, die DJI Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo (mit zwei Akkus und dem DJI RC2) 3.200 Dollar und die DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo (mit zwei Akkus und dem neuen DJI RC Pro 2 Controller) 4.400 Dollar kosten.

Since the latest leaks about DJI&s Mavic 4 Pro, new pictures have surfaced again thanks to the leaker Igor Bogdanov, of the Mavic, but especially of the associated new RC 2 Pro Controller.

The new DJI RC 2 Pro Controller
An update of DJI&s professional remote control RC Pro has been overdue for a long time, as the controller, which was launched in 2021 and is quite expensive at around 1,000 euros, lacks a number of functions. For example, it only supports DJI&s outdated O3 video transmission system and not the newer, more powerful version 4, and its 5.5" display is a little small and could be brighter than before (1,000 nits) for outdoor use. The battery life of only 3 hours could also be improved.

The technical data of the RC 2 Pro is not yet known, but some innovations are clearly visible, such as the foldable, larger 7" display. When folded down, the display covers the controller, when folded up it is vertical - and is therefore probably more ergonomic to read than before. Also new is a rotary control with which camera parameters such as zoom, focus, aperture or gimbal tilt could possibly be controlled more precisely than before. In addition, a large HDMI port can be seen on the front of the photos (the RC Pro only had a mini HDMI output).
