SanDisk has also announced a new Pro-Reader SD and microSD card reader along with its new Professional 
Pro-Blade SSD storage system, as well as two new Extreme Pro microSD and SD card series, which the manufacturer claims are the fastest UHS-I SD and microSD memory cards in the world, respectively. Both the SD and microSD cards are available in capacities ranging from 64GB to 1TB and are both shockproof, temperature resistant, waterproof and X-ray resistant.

The new SD UHS-I memory cards meet UHS speed class 3 (U3) and video speed class 30 (V30) and offer transfer speeds of up to 200 MB/s and recording speeds of up to 140 MB/s. However, this extremely high transfer speed is only achieved with the help of compatible readers such as the new SanDisk Professional Pro-Reader SD and microSD card reader or even another model of the Pro-Reader series. But the maximum write speed is only achieved by the cards with storage capacities of 256GB and above, the 32, 64 and 128GB cards achieve a maximum of 90MB/s.

The new microSDXC cards come with an SD adapter included and are designed for use in Android smartphones, action cameras or drones and also achieve read speeds of up to 200 MB/s and write speeds of up to 140 MB/s. For them, too, a suitable reader is the prerequisite for achieving the maximum transfer speed.

The new SanDisk Professional Pro-Reader is designed specifically for use with SanDisk&s new Extreme Pro SD and microSD UHS-I cards, which enable high-speed offloads of up to 200MB/s thanks to SanDisk&s QuickFlow technology.
SanDisk Professional Pro Reader SD and microSD
The reader features an aluminum housing for optimal cooling and a USB-C port (5Gbps), which is used for high-speed media transfers to the PC. The card reader also has a built-in write-protect switch that prevents existing footage or images from being overwritten. It is also compatible with SanDisk&s Pro-Dock 4 docking station, and can be used in one of its four Pro-Reader reader slots.
