Sony recently announced three DVD camcorder models of the second generation. The Handycam DCR-DVD201, and DCR-DVD101 solve the published until the autumn models DCR-DVD200, and DCR-DVD100 from, differ in their specifications of these, however, hardly. As usual, they are equipped with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 10x optical (120 x digital) zoom, the LCD size is 6.35 cm (123,000 pixels), available USB 2.0 ports and analog input and output (no Firewire). The Handycams are more compact and with a new design, and sales from 1050, -, or 950, - Euro significantly cheaper than current models. Furthermore, the model DCR-DVD91 was announced, with similar features as the DCR-DVD101, but only with an analog-out port, price 870, - Euro.
