For more convenient camera operation, Sony introduces the new wireless "3-in-1" Shooting Grip GP-VPT3. Like many other mini tripods, it can be folded up and used as a camera grip, but it also comes with a detachable remote control (RMT-VP2). This connects to Alpha and Vlog camera series via Bluetooth technology, allowing the adjustment of various camera parameters.

The ergonomically shaped grip supports cameras weighing up to 1.5 kg and enables one-handed shooting in combination with the operation of important camera functions such as zoom and focus for photos and videos, regardless of the user's dominant hand. With the push of a button, the head mechanism allows switching between self-portrait and external shots, and the tilt mechanism enables free angle adjustment.
The detachable remote control is equipped with, among other things, a MOVIE button, a Zoom/Focus button, and a C1 (Custom) button. It can be connected to Sony cameras and Xperia smartphones with a wireless communication range of approximately 10 m.
The multifunctional shooting grip Sony GP-VPT3 weighs approximately 180g and costs 145 euros including the remote control; the latter is also available separately for 85 euros. Available from June 2025.
