The recently introduced
Tamron 50-300mm zoom lens has already been followed by another one - the new Tamron 28-300mm F/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD offers even more creative possibilities with a 10.7x zoom factor. The all-in-one zoom lens will be released at the end of August for mirrorless full-frame cameras with Sony E-mount and is suitable for everyday use and when traveling.

Tamron 28-300mm F/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD
The Tamron 28-300mm measures 126mm with a weight of only 610g. The optical construction consists of 20 elements in 13 groups and includes an XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens element and an LD (Low Dispersion) lens element for efficient control of aberrations such as chromatic aberration. A BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) coating suppresses ghost images and stray light, ensuring clear images even in backlit conditions. The aperture of this lens is also made up of 9 blades.
As usual, the lens is equipped with Tamron's linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), which is designed to enable fast, precise and not least quiet focusing over the entire zoom range. The VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilizer minimizes camera shake.
With a close focusing distance of 0.19 m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.8 in the wide-angle range, macro shots can also be taken. The lens has a focus button, a zoom lock mechanism and a connection for the TAMRON Lens Utility software developed by TAMRON.
The new zoom shares the filter size of 67mm with many other Tamron lenses. A weather-resistant lens construction and the fluorine protective coating on the front lens are also familiar Tamron features.
