Viltrox hat eine zweite Brennweite in der LAB-Serie herausgebracht. Das lichtstarke 35mm F/1.2 LAB ist für Vollformatkameras mit Sony E-Mount verfügbar und, wie schon das 135mm F/1.8 LAB, etwas höher eingepreist als gewohnt. Im Gegenzug sollen hochwertige Materialien und eine sorgfältige Verarbeitung der LAB-Optiken eine lange Lebensdauer und absolute Zuverlässigkeit gewährleisten.

Das 35mm F/1.2 LAB soll mit seinem schnellen, geräuschlosen HyperVCM-Autofokus (Voice Coil Motor) gleichermaßen für Video als auch für Foto geeignet sein. Fokus Breathing soll laut Viltrox gut kontrolliert werden, die Naheinstellgrenze liegt bei 34 cm. Duale Floating-Focusgruppen sollen für durchgängige Schärfe von nah bis unendlich sorgen. Die Blende, bestehend aus 11 Lamellen, lässt sich optional entklicken.
Das optische Design des Objektivs besteht aus 15 Linsen in 10 Gruppen, darunter 5 ED-, 3 HR- sowie 2 UA-Linsen. Eine Multilayer-Nanobeschichtung soll unerwünschte Flares reduzieren.
Für die Bedienung gibt es zusätzlich zum Fokusring einen Multifunktionsring. Darüber hinaus sind ein AF/MF-Schalter sowie zwei frei belegbare Tasten vorhanden. Ein kleines Display zeigt die aktuellen Optikeinstellungen an.
Mit seinem wetterfesten Metallgehäuse wiegt das 35mm F/1.2 LAB 920 g bei Maßen von 122 x 89 x 89 mm. Das Filtergewinde misst 77 mm.

Viltrox 35mm F/1.2 LAB für Sony FE
The 35mm F/1.2 LAB, with its fast, silent HyperVCM autofocus (Voice Coil Motor), is designed to be equally suitable for video and photo use. Focus breathing is said to be well controlled according to Viltrox, and the minimum focusing distance is 34 cm. Dual floating focus groups are designed to ensure consistent sharpness from close-up to infinity. The aperture, consisting of 11 blades, can optionally be de-clicked.
The optical design of the lens consists of 15 elements in 10 groups, including 5 ED, 3 HR, and 2 UA elements. A multilayer nano-coating is designed to reduce unwanted flares.
For operation, there is a multi-function ring in addition to the focus ring. In addition, there is an AF/MF switch and two freely assignable buttons. A small display shows the current lens settings.
With its weather-resistant metal housing, the 35mm F/1.2 LAB weighs 920 g with dimensions of 122 x 89 x 89 mm. The filter thread measures 77 mm.
