Vocas presents the lightweight and modular Matte Box MB-260, designed for both professional and compact setups. The MB-260 weighs only 235 grams (box only), with an optional 179 grams added for the front hood with top flag. The compendium can accommodate up to two filters, with one filter holder fixed and the other removable. By default, the matte box can be attached to lenses with a 114mm diameter via a clip-on mechanism; step-down rings allow for use with optics of other sizes.
Alternatively, it is compatible with 15mm rods via an adapter. The newly designed, flexible donut ring is designed to reliably close gaps between the matte box and lenses with an outer diameter of 70–100mm. A swing-away arm is also available for maximum flexibility.
Vocas Matte Box MB-260 Production Kit
The system supports both 4x4" and 4x5.6" filters. Thanks to the modular design, it can be easily expanded into a complete sun protection system with the optional, attachable hood extender including top flag and magnetic 16:9 masks. The latter help to optimize contrast and reduce stray light at longer focal lengths.

Vocas offers the modular system both in individual components and in kits. The MB-260 Matte Box Kit includes the MB-260 Matte Box, a height-adjustable 15mm LWS adapter and a flexible 114mm donut ring (from 649 euros plus VAT). The MB-260 Production Kit includes the MB-260 Matte Box, a flexible donut, a hood extender with top flag, a magnetic masking set and a 15mm swivel mount.
