Irix is now adding a 65mm focal length with T1.5 to its rather wide-angle series of cine lenses, thus reducing the existing, larger gap between the 45mm T1.5 and the 150mm T3.0. The 65mm T1.5 has features typical of the series, is therefore designed for full-frame format and is available in the 8 mount variants Canon EF, Canon RF, L-mount, Nikon Z, PL-mount, Sony E, MFT, Fuji X. Depending on the mount, the weight is between 1292g and 1446g.

The Irix cine optics have equally spaced lens rings with 0.8 pitch standard gear rims and largely uniform front diameters of 95mm and 86mm filter threads, as with the new 65mm. The closest focusing distance here is 0.6m. The focus travel is 180 degrees, the diaphragm consists of 11 blades.
There is a magnetic connection for filters and lens hoods. The magnesium alloy lens housing is weatherproof. The new 65mm T1.5 is also available at a price of 1,195 euros.
