New compact RGBWW panels from Nanlite - miro 30c and 60c

[09:28 Fri,29.August 2025   by Thomas Richter]

With the new miro 30c and miro 60c models, Nanlite expands its portfolio with two compact, round LED panels that are particularly suitable for mobile applications, live streaming, and content production. The lights rely on the in-house Nebula C4 Light Engine System, which promises color fidelity and versatility in a handy format.

Compact Design with High Light Output

Despite their small size – the miro 30c is about the size of a CD, the 60c is about the size of a small plate – both models deliver considerable light output. With a power consumption of only 30W (miro 30c) or 60W (miro 60c), the panels achieve light intensities of 4,854 lux or 8,382 lux at a distance of one meter at a color temperature of 5600 K. A 45° focusing lens provides a directional light pattern, while a magnetically attachable diffuser allows for a softer light characteristic if required. The round design not only serves aesthetic purposes but also creates natural catchlights in the eyes – a visual detail that is particularly relevant in portrait photography and video portraits.

Nebula C4: Flexibility in Color Temperature and Color Effects

At the heart of the technical innovations is the Nebula C4 Light Engine, which combines RGB and white light LEDs. This allows for finely tuned control of the color temperature in the range of 2700 K to 7500 K, as well as an additional ±150 Green/Magenta correction. This allows the lights to be precisely adapted to different light sources or camera profiles. In addition, the lights offer access to up to 36,000 colors and 14 individually configurable effect modes in HSI mode.

Operation and Control

Control is either directly on the device via a round 1.28" OLED display or wirelessly via the Nanlink App 2.0 via Bluetooth. The latter allows, among other things, the saving of scenes, the group control of several devices, and access to more complex color gradients such as Hue or CCT loops.

Power Supply and Run Times

The power supply is designed to be flexible: In addition to the USB-C PD input (9–20 V PD3.0), both models can also be operated with standard NP-F batteries. The miro 30c has one battery slot, the 60c has two. The run times vary depending on the battery – for example, the miro 60c can be operated with two NP-F970 batteries for up to 1 hour and 38 minutes.

The mechanical construction has been designed for easy handling: The Yoke bracket offers 20 locking positions and allows a 360° rotation. For mounting, both a 1/4"-20 thread and a 5/8" baby pin adapter are available. A quiet fan (20 dBA for the 60c) ensures low-noise operation, which is particularly relevant for audio productions.
