The new firmware version 4.00 has been released for the compact full-frame Sigma fp camera, which brings some video-relevant features. Among other things, the "false color" function is added, which displays the exposure status on the screen in different colors. The false color option is also available for user-defined button assignments.
Furthermore, the behavior of the focus ring can be switched between linear and non-linear, provided that the lens used supports this (the lens firmware may also need to be updated). The new STILL / CINE Link Settings feature offers the option to link (or not) the most important exposure settings - shooting mode, shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity - between STILL and CINE modes. Also, in Cine mode, clip numbering can now be changed via "File Name / Number" in the SYSTEM menu.
In photo mode, information about the attached lens (focal length and shooting distance) can be displayed on the screen, as well as the countdown before a shot in self-timer mode (2 seconds and 10 seconds) and the exposure time for long exposures (bulb shots and exposures of 1 second or longer).
