The German timecode-synchronization specialist Tentacle Sync has just released a new app that should be particularly useful for music-video producers. The main challenge with these shoots is filming the same part of a song over and over again—and keeping everything perfectly aligned in post-production. Every take has to match the music exactly, frame by frame. ![]() Tentacle Sync&s Music Video Sync App
The new Tentacle Music Video Sync App tackles precisely this task, acting as a master controller by playing the track with a fixed timecode and then synchronizing all connected Tentacle Sync E or Track E units on set. Whether you’re recording the chorus, verse, bridge, or solo, every camera or even audio recorder will capture the exact same timecode at the same spot in the song. This greatly simplifies syncing footage with the soundtrack in post. At the start of each take there is a brief preroll/countdown so everyone on set can start their devices in time: ![]() Tentacle Sync&s Music Video Sync App (photo by pillepalle) The Music Video Sync App is currently available as a beta version for Android—Tentacle Sync is already working on an iOS version. User feedback is very welcome to make the app even better. (Thanks to pillepalle) ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Kostenlose Tentacle Music Video Sync App vereinfacht die Musikvideoproduktion |
